Harris was a champion of the Lead Pipe and Pain Action Plan, dedicating $15 billion to replace all lead pipes nationwide
As a staunch advocate against PFAS contamination, she has advocated for protection legislation and funding
Tim Walz:
As Governor, Walz signed legislation that invested $240 million to replace lead pipes, and sought an additional $200 million for clean water programs
Walz advocated for the Water Infrastructure Fund Program, seeking to make clean water projects adorable and accessible

Harris supported the allocation of $100 million for zero waste programs, which helped cities increase recycling rates by 20% and divert over 2 million tons of waste from landfills annually

As Senator, Harris co-sponsored the federal Break Free From Plastic Pollution Act of 2020, and sued water bottle companies for inaccurate recycle claims as Attorney General
Tim Walz:
As Governor, the Walz administration invested in enhancing recycling facilities and programs statewide, allocating $25 million for upgraded infrastructure and programs. This led to an additional 100,000 tons of waste recycled annually
Enabled initiatives that led to a 30% reduction in plastic packaging waste among businesses, helping to divert an estimated 500,000 pounds of plastic from landfills annually

Kamala Harris:
The Biden Harris Administration announced a goal to achieve 100% clean energy by 2035
Harris helped to secure $100 billion in funding for clean energy projects, including solar, wind, and battery storage, and $15 billion for energy efficiency programs to reduce consumption and lower utility bills
To support the transition to EVs, Harris secured $7.5 billion for the development of EV charging infrastructure

Walz oversaw an allocation of $100 million to improve broadband infrastructure in rural areas, connecting over 150,000 households and farms to high-speed internet
And during his time as Governor, Walz supported the investment of $5 million in climate adaptation grants for farmers, focusing on drought-resistant crops and water conservation

While VP, Harris cast the deciding vote in the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, which authorized over $369 billion to transition from fossil fuels.
Since passage of the IRA, it has already created 211,000 clean energy jobs and sparked $310 billion in new investments across the US
As Senator, Harris championed increased federal investment in renewable energy development, which led to the doubling of wind and solar energy capacity in the US between 2016 and 2022
Tim Walz:
Walz championed legislation that requires Minnesota utilities to generate 100% of their electricity from carbon-free sources
